DOUBLE DRAGON Parts Ways With Guitarist
September 1, 2008Adelaide, Australia's DOUBLE DRAGON has parted ways with guitarist James Cunningham due to "personal issues." Cunningham replaced original lead guitarist Ben "Moify" Murphy and did not record any tracks with the band. Drummer Dan Busch states "The whole Jimmy thing not working out has cost us some time, but at least it gives us time to bolster our lineup and practice hard so we can get back to playing kick-ass shows to the standard that DOUBLE DRAGON supporters have come to expect over the last few years. Our subpar perfomances of late has been unacceptable and the new guy we are playing with gives justice to Moif's 'Devastator' legacy."
DOUBLE DRAGON's new guitarist, whose identity has not yet been revealed, will make his live debut with the group at Australia's biggest metal festival, Against The Grain, followed by a support slot with legendary metal gods CARCASS.
DOUBLE DRAGON's new album, "Devastator", was released in July via Truth Inc Records. The CD was recorded in Adelaide, Australia with producer Ian "E-dog" Miller, and is the follow-up to DOUBLE DRAGON's debut EP, "Scars Of Fire".
